Atlanta Native, Chef "Posh" Tash has over 16 years of experience in the culinary arts industry. As an honors graduate of The Art Institute of Atlanta, Tashia acquired her B.A. in Culinary Management with a concentration in Baking and in Pastry. In 2013, she returned to school in pursuit of her MBA, to be conferred in spring 2014. Tash is also an ACF Certified Pastry Chef and a long-standing active member of American Culinary Federation (ACF).
She's been most prominently know as a dedicated culinary teacher since 2008, sharing her expertise and passion on both the secondary and post-secondary education levels. To the endless list of culinary students, Tashia is better known as Chef Surrey-Thomas. While having a vast knowledge of regional and international cuisines, Baking & pastry will always be her specialty and greatest source of joy. Tash is even available to teach privately and host special events. She's also know to teach corporate ServSafe classes to culinary students, restaurants and other businesses throughout the food service industry.
